Terms of Service

The short version — play the game, be decent in the community, don't steal the art, and remember that a free game comes as-is.

These terms cover your use of the Krestfell game (on the web at krestfell.com and as the Krestfell app for iOS) and this website, including its guides and reference pages. By playing the game or using the site, you agree to them.

The license to play

You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to play Krestfell and browse this site for your own enjoyment. If you installed the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and where the two conflict for the iOS app, Apple's terms control.

Our content

The Krestfell name, the game, its artwork, writing, world, characters, and this site's content are owned by the developer. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute them commercially without permission. You are welcome to:

  • capture and share screenshots, videos, and streams of the game;
  • quote and reference the lore (a link back to krestfell.com is appreciated);
  • make fan works — we like fan works.

Your saves are your responsibility

Krestfell stores saved games locally on your device (see the Privacy Policy). We can't recover a save lost to a cleared browser, a deleted app, or a changed device — there is no server copy.

Fair warning about a game in development

Krestfell is actively developed. Game rules, balance, content, and save compatibility may change between versions, and features may be added or removed, without notice. A patch may retire your favorite strategy; we consider this part of the fun.

No warranty

Krestfell and this site are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the game or site. Where a jurisdiction does not allow such limitations, they apply to the fullest extent that jurisdiction permits.

The community

Our Discord community is governed by its own posted rules and by Discord's Terms of Service. Be decent. Harassment, cheating in community events, and spam can get you removed.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the game evolves; the effective date above will change when we do. Continuing to use Krestfell after an update means you accept the revised terms.
